The gym membership was a great motivator for me to go out and workout. Knowing that I'm paying for it, I'm kinda forced to use it. And once I'm in the gym, its hard not to get persuaded when you see everyone else are in so much better shape than you are. I remember my first week , I was using the elliptical trainer my goal was to stay for at least 5 minutes but halfway there I was ready to pass out. Then a pregnant woman started using the one next to me like it was nothing to her. How can you give up after seeing that, right?
Looking good is a great motivation but my biggest one is being able to keep up with my kids. I have a 12 year old and 21-month old and I really don't want to miss out on that by being out of shape. I like it that I have more energy now to take my son to the park or go swimming or playing with him. I still have a long ways to be able to reach my goal. I would really love to hear your tips, advice or thoughts on getting in shape.
